Twilight Series Talk

Here's my list of totally random (from quasi-plausible to completely wild) predictions for BD and not in any sort of order. This is a cumulative list of just about every prediction I've thought of for BD since pretty much just after I got done reading EC the first time and up until today. I'm getting them in before the board's impending hiatus!

• Bella and Edward will be married, which will go off without any problems, however...
• The Denali Coven will show up prior the wedding and try to cause trouble, namely Tanya with Edward, but he still has no interest at all in her which she definitely won't be happy about (doubly insulting due to Edward's lack of interest in her, but also she's lost him to some human girl).
• Tanya will try to make Bella feel really insecure or uncomfortable, but Alice, Esme and Rosalie will defend her and on that note...
• Rosalie and Bella will finally become friends... eventually... somewhere in BD, probably nearer the end of the story.
• We discover what Kate's, Eleazar's and Alec's powers are
• The Denali Coven - or at least Irina and Tanya (being so angry and insulted about the Cullens' refusal to kill the werewolves to avenge Laurent and Edward's rejection of Tanya for a human, the same human that the wolves killed Laurent over) - are secretly complicit with the Volturi. Also probably goes without saying, Tanya and Irina really hate Bella. However...
• Kate, having no direct personal grudge against the Cullens, the wolves or Bella, may not agree with her sisters decisions and stand with the Cullens in the end and against her sisters
• Something will interrupt the reception. My guess it will be the Volturi and to the shock of everyone since they never leave Volterra, Aro, Caius and Marcus show up in person. They're there for various reasons, one of the reasons they insist Bella's turned and soon
• Alice wouldn't have seen this coming because the Volturi have found their own werewolves (possibly connected to that werewolf James hunted in Siberia) to mask themselves from Alice's visions OR....
• The Volturi kidnapped Jacob and used him to mask themselves from Alice, they hand him back over during the reception and probably a lot worse for the wear
• Bella will be turned and by Edward, but for some reason or other the process will be much more difficult then normal and Bella has some side effects
• Something will happen while she's turning, possibly the Volturi abducting her during her turn
• Having been abducted by the Volturi, Bella stays with them a very long time. Also put in hiding to specifically keep her away from the Cullens or until her wild newborn phase passes.
• Aro will try to make a powerplay for being the one head of the Volturi, possibly killing Caius to do it. This will mark the beginning of the end of the Volturi as it's been known. OR in a variation of that....
• Bella is seen as a keystone in holding the strongest power amongst the Volturi and the main three start fighting over her
• Marcus might have seen the fissures forming amongst the Volturi before they actually happen and predicts the Volturi are headed for a collapse. He leaves Volterra (with Bella and any guard loyal to him) to avoid any future ramifications of these growing fissures. Possibly defecting to the Cullens
• Bella, despite being with them/Marcus against her will, may come to understand Marcus better and, surprisingly, they grow close (in an entirely platonic/familial way). Bella possibly reminding him of his dead mate. Bella helps him open up. He tries to protect her from his Volturi brethren and may eventually die for it.
• Billy and Charlie will both try to pursue a romantic relationship with Sue Clearwater, but Charlie will win her in the end. Charlie and Sue will get married, hence making Bella and Seth & Leah stepsiblings. Charlie/Sue will also probably have at least one more kid, so Bella (and the Cullens through her) will always be connected to the werewolves (vice versa) through this one family connection (even if the kid likely won't be a werewolf him/herself. IIRC, Seth & Leah got the wolfy gene from their dad).
• Phil and Renee will probably also start a new family so another (or other) half-sibling(s) for Bella, so through Charlie's and Renee's new families, Bella - despite being a vampire - will have some connection to the human and werewolf worlds
• If Jake doesn't hook up with or imprint on anyone currently in the story, he'll imprint on one of Bella's half-siblings. My money is he pulls a Quil and he imprints on Charlie/Sue's baby daughter.
• As I do think the White Queen on the BD cover represents Vampire-Bella, so I think Aro will be proven right and she'll have a very "formidable" gift (the Queen being the most powerful piece in chess), on the level of Jane or Alec or stronger. Unfortunately, my guesses on what she can actually do change daily, but my best bet is her abilities have something to do with the mind, mirroring Edward's gift in some way.
• Peter and Charlotte will come to the Cullens aide by Jasper's request and eventually become "vegetarians" and join the family
• Bella will kill Jane (possibly while defending Edward or one of the Cullens), incurring the wrath of Alec
• Alec tries to kill Edward and badly injures him, but he's saved at the last minute by Bella and the wolves
• At least one of the Denalis will die, probably Irina
• The Cullens' house in Forks burns down
• There will be a HUGE showdown in the end of the story between the Cullens/werewolves and the Volturi, with the Cullens hopefully the winners
• To keep the vampire world from falling into total chaos, the Cullens completely restructure the Volturi and the immediate family shares leadership responsabilities for awhile until it can re-establish itself. The laws are mosty the same, but they make concerted efforts to make all vampires "vegetarians".

My specs are never right so little of the above (besides the sort of obvious ones, like discovering Alec's powers, etc) will probably happen, but if anyone else has random predictions, feel free to share.

This is extensive. They are great predictions. I'm not sure why a lot of people think that the Volturi are going to take Bella away, thought it would add to the drama.

one of my theories is that the volturi is gonna split, but more because of opposing views on how to handle the cullens. i think some will feel more compassion toward the cullens, or for ulterior motives are fine with the cullens living; and then the other side wants to annihilate bella and the cullens. and this debate will cause a rift and split the volturi into good volturi and bad volturi.
i think aro, marcus will be "good" and caius, jane, felix will be "bad". i have no idea about alec. or if this will even happen at all.
just another theory!

do you think that BD will go far enough into the future to know about possible children of charlie/sue or renee/charlie?
lol what if renee shows up to the wedding and is like, hey bella guess what? i'm pregnant! lol

ok, so ya know how BD is loosely based of MSND and another book, well, i was rereading twilight and it's bella's first day at forks high and she is reading her class literature reading list and on it is Bronte, Shakespeare, Chaucer, and Faulkner.
SO, since Bronte is wuthering heights, and shakespeare is romeo & juliet, maybe the mystery book of MSND is by Chaucer or Faulkner...
i don't know these authors, i've heard of them but don't know much about them or their major works. anybody have any ideas? or think this could possibly have an influence on BD?

^^ ok, i know this probly isn't the best place to post this, but i figure here it's more likely to be answered than in the question of the week thread, so i posted it both places. and it does have to do with random predictions. kinda.

Chaucer = Canterbury Tales. There are A LOT of "tales" that make up this collection, and I haven't read it in a while but I may look over it. You've peaqued my interest!

Faulkner = lots of good novels. Maybe the most relatable one would be "As I Lay Dying". It's told from about 15 different people's point of views. It's the story of a Addie's death and her families quest to honor her wish to be buried in a place far away and difficult to get to. Her family has their own reasons for the quest though, both selfish and noble.

Chaucer also wrote Troilus and Criseyde, a tragic romance.

can anyone give short summaries to any of these stories? i'm kinda too lazy to sparknotes all of them...lol

i think it is hard to base the other mystery book on what she read on the first day in Twilight because Twlight was almost a seperate entity in itself because the series wasn't intended to have multiple books and i doubt that especially that early in the book Stephanie was putting foreshadowing considering it was all based on a dream, more likely those were famous and well known cannon authors.

i don't think she was planning on foreshadowing this, but i think she included those authors on bella's reading list because they might be some of her own personal favorites-- the authors or books by these authors.
so, it is possible, if these are some of her favorite authors, that SM is familiar with these stories and likes them and have influenced the story of BD.
it's just a possibility

When I was still waiting for my Breaking Dawn book (which I have now) I had 10 predictions posted on my iGoogle and out of ten, I had six correct.

Here's the list and I'm not confirming anything...so this will be Spoiler Free!

Vamp War!!!
• Bella having a child
• Jacob Dead
• Wedding
• At least 10 or more Bella Breakdowns
• Jacob's return
• Carlisle dead
• One of the Cullens to die
• Volturi Return
• Bella getting Bitten

Of course, some of those are dead on, but some aren't. Don't pick them out. XD
