twilight alllll the way...its weird because when i ws reading the host i kept thinking 'oh that sounded like it was from twilight' and no matter what i was always comparing it and yes is an awesome book but twilights like a baby...i agree with veru that we already got to know and love the twilight characters and everything but honestly i think that any book SM writes will be great!

I didn't get into The Host as quickly as I did Twilight. It took a while to grow on me. Plus I found the start of the book a little confusing for the reader. However as I look back on The Host it gets better and better.

Arggh!!! I am completely torn.
But, in conclusion, I think that, both have places in my heart. I'm a sucker for everything Stephenie writes. lol

I love twilight so freaking much that I couldn't really like any other book/series any more. But i found The Host to be a bit more well written; fist of all, it was written more for adults, so i think that affected the overall writintg style. Secondly, SM has said that when she wrote Twilight (book not series) she wrote chapter 13 to the end first and then worked her way backword from there. (sorry if i got the chapter wrong) But as I analyze the book, i found this to be sort of evident in the way the storyline went. Don't get me wrong, i looove the books, but personally, i sort of think that Bella fell in love with Edward way too quickly. I feel like their love in the first book is sort of puppy love-ish, and then in the second book...well, as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Their relationship in the second and third books just feels slightly different to me, more "real" in a way.

Sorry. I got sort of off topic and that was really long.

i feel like i should say the host because it seems better written. but im not. because i like twilight better. haha but the host is great! i couldnt stop reading it. not so much so as twilight, but still...
i really didnt understand how the host is an adult book besides the fact that its about 20-something-year-olds. i mean, everyone says the vocab was harder, but it really wasnt. idk.

Twilight is definitely my favorite but The Host is great too, I just felt like it took a while for me to get into The Host. With Twilight I couldn't stop reading, wasn't the same for The Host. Maybe if there was another book after The Host then I might change my mind, or maybe not but anyways there both good!! lol
